Box Score ETTRICK, Va. (November 11, 2107) - The Virginia State University women's basketball team completed the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA)/ Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Challenge on Saturday afternoon where they faced Seton Hill University.

The Trojans jumped out to an 18-8 lead after the first quarter which helped then roll to 69-49 victory over the Griffins. With the victory, the Trojans improve to 2-0 record while SHU falls to 1-1 on the season.Â
Virginia State added its first points of the game on a layup by
Mia Fitts at the 7:12 mark in the first quarter. The Trojans scored the final four points to take an 18-8 lead after one quarter. Virginia State continued to build their lead to as much as 20 ponts in the second quarter before settling for a 37-20 halftime lead.Â
The Griffins were able to cut the Virginia State lead to nine points a few times in the third quarter, but the Trojans held a 49-34 lead after three quarters. SHU was never able to cut the Virginia State lead to single digits in the fourth quarter as the Trojans rolled to a twenty-point win.
Virginia State ended the contest shooting 38.4 percent from the field (28-of-73), knocked down 6-of-23 three pointers (26.1 percent) and out-rebounded their opponent 39-38.

Chrisanna Green led the Trojans with 19 points. She also added 12 rebounds.
Alexis Smith also added 19 points respectively, followed by
Mia Fitts who contributed 10 points.

Virginia State will host Claflin University on Monday, November 20 with tip-off slated for 5:30 p.m.
