Donald Raspberry enters into his fourth season as Head Woman’s Tennis Coach of Virginia State University tennis program. Coach Raspberry has guided the lady Trojans to two consecutive Northern Division Championships. During those two years four players in 2018 and two players 2019 were selected to the (All-CIAA Conference Team)Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Prior to taking over as head tennis coach I served as a volunteer assistant coach for both men and woman’s team for two years. Coach Raspberry has coached both youth and adults for more than 25 years. His most dedicated efforts to the game of tennis resides with his relentless desires to give back to the community by teaching youth. He has been a member of Metro Richmond Tennis Club (MRTC) for ten years and member of the American Tennis Association (ATA). He was recognized as coach of the year by M.R.T.C in 2012.

My commitment to Virginia State University and its woman’s tennis program is to bring the best student/ athlete to the university and the woman’s tennis program. I want to maintain the academic standards that Virginia State University has established during the history of this institution.
